The story of Joseph Meade. I have been searching for Joseph Meade for many years now. He was sent to the school about 1921 at about the age of two with two other siblings. He remained there but his other sibling did not. He shows in the 1930 census at the school at the age of 11. At about 16 he was sent to the Red Wing reformatory. He was indentured to a farmer. He ran off from there and went to Corpus Christy Texas showing up at the traveler office (welfare office). Then he just disappears. The interesting thong about my search is that I was working on it many years ago before the Internet. I wrote many many agencies over a period of years. One day I got a visit from the FBI threatening me if I didn't stop looking for him. Perhaps he didn't want to be fond which is certainly his right. Joseph would be 90 now and his sister is 87. She doesn't remember Joseph as when they went to the school his sister was just an infant. Joseph is probably gone now but his sister would be interested he knowing about him.
